My quinoa sprouts didn't survive any more than the chia sprouts did. Furthermore, they took longer to start sprouting, so they only grew very little before I went away for the holidays. But they're definitely intriguing, so I may give them another try soon.
I had bought organic chia seeds and red quinoa from Whole Foods to make sure the sprouts would be organic too. In the end, it didn't make a difference for this particular experiment, since I managed to kill both with my superb brown thumb. So. Back to Whole Foods for sprouts. As usual.
