Pomegranate arils contain antioxidants and offer powerful disease protection. They are not only tasty and healthy, but so beautiful, too!
The arils can be easily removed by first cutting the pomegranate in half sideways, then hitting the outside of the pomegranate with a wooden spoon to dislodge the arils into a bowl. Or they can be gently pulled from the pomegranate into a bowl full of water. The white bits of pomegranate skin will float to the top of the water, while the arils will sink, for easy separation. The result is well worth the effort!
